• This hotel might be a bit bland and international-chainesque, but it has a great location near Eyre Square, and it has all those handy little perks a big hotel chain can offer. Its location near the water means that some rooms have scenic bay views. All rooms are fairly spacious and well equipped with comfortable beds, desks, modern bathrooms, and plenty of electronic gadgets for business travelers -- although the standard rooms are probably not going to win any design awards. The sun pours into the in-house bar through huge windows, and the hotel restaurant is popular with locals. You can chill out in the soothing spa, or work out in the well-equipped fitness club. Upper rooms are quieter than lower rooms, which can get a bit of street noise, but all in all, this is a handy option.
