• Ballinasloe celebrates the beginning of autumn in spectacular fashion. This exciting week-long harvest festival is filled with many interesting events and numerous stalls to comb through along the town's streets. There is something to suit almost every taste and many events have a family focus. Music, theater, street entertainment, tug-o-war, a dog show, horse jumping, equestrian displays and much more take place over the week. The stalls sell a wide variety of goods and novelty items at budget prices. A carnival atmosphere fills Ballinasloe and it is difficult not to get caught up in the fun. Admission is free.
