NUI Múscailt Spring Festival

Description:

• This annual festival of the arts is sponsored by the National University of Ireland (NUI), concentrating on the work of its students and faculty, along with guest artists from across the region and Ireland. There are numerous art exhibits, bands play at pubs throughout Galway, and a musical is put on at the Black Box Theatre. "Múscailt" is a Gaelic word meaning "to awaken, inspire and celebrate," and this spirit pervades the festival programming; every year sees performances as diverse as the NUI student body. Ticket prices vary by event.
