  • The busy kitchen here, with its open hearth, occupies a good part of this simple restaurant, which serves this neighborhood near Stazione Brignole with takeout fare from a counter and accommodates diners in a bare-bones little room off to one side. In fact, there's no attempt at all to provide a decorative ambience. The specials of the day (which often include octopus and other seafood) are displayed in the window; tell the cooks behind the counter what you want and they will bring it over to one of the oilcloth-covered tables when it's ready. Don't be shy about asking for a sampling of the reasonably priced dishes, because you could happily eat your way through all the greatest hits of Genovese cuisine here. Farinata (chickpea crepes), focaccia with many different toppings, gnocchi with pesto, riso di carciofi (rice with artichokes), and other dishes are accompanied by Ligurian wines served by the glass or carafe.

  • Visitato per assaggiare una torta di cipolle sono stato costretto dalla cameriera, in presenza peraltro del titolare, a ricevere un piatto misto di torte e polpettoni a un prezzo eccessivo....

  • Sono entrata per un pranzo veloce e attirata dal menu tipicamente ligure. I piatti sono buoni ed il personale molto gentile. I prezzi non sono alla buona come il posto suggerirebbe.
