Description:

• The area of Quarto is better known as Quarto dei Mille because it was from here that Garibaldi left on his expedition to the south. Today there is an imposing statue to record the event giving the name of Monumento to the area between the train station of Quarto and the sea as well as the bathing establishment, with its bar and restaurant at its feet. As with all beaches to the east of Genoa, it is located between the sea and the coastal road, which can be reached by a small stairwell.
