- Recco is the birthplace of cheese focaccia. There is no one in Genoa who hasn't been there. It is one of the city's secrets which spread like wildfire. It's a hut on the seafront which is like all the other huts except for the fact it makes wonderful focaccia bread. It's open until late and the focaccia is cheap and delicious. It makes a perfect start to an evening on the Riviera. A place for everyone! Timings are seasonal so check the website for open hours.
