• This place long ago abandoned the practice of serving glasses of rare vintage wine. Today it's a bustling, sometimes raucous, English-style pub, with a busy lunch business, and a bar list that includes beer and whiskies but not a lot of wine. The few wines that are served cost from £1 to £4.50 ($2-$9) per glass. It's one of the preferred venues for Gibraltar's business community, who appreciate the free tapas (the selection changes daily) served every day from 5 to 9pm. You'll find up to five kinds of beer on tap here, with pints selling for £2 ($4) each; Friday nights a DJ spins danceable music to a clientele that includes sailors from a variety of ports worldwide, but especially England.
