• The top floor of the Ramses Hilton is devoted to a most spectacular restaurant and bar which is, quite appropriately, named Windows on the World. As you can guess, there are windows all around the room with incredible views of Cairo. We arrived too late for dinner, but the management had no objection when we asked if we could stay for drinks, which were served up to about 1.30pm. We sat at a table by the window as our Egyptian host proudly pointed out the highlights of Cairo at night. There is also a live band here each evening and I wished we had time to return for dinner. We didn't this time, but hopefully on the return visit..... Dress Code: The Hotel is elegant, and this restaurant is especially elegant. I would wear something very smary and prepare myself to enjoy an especially magical evening.
