Description:
Mother India in Glasgow is synonymous with quality Indian food. They use the best local produce, fresh herbs and carefully selected whole spices. There are 3 floors each of which has its own distinctive ambience. The basement is more relaxed an informal with tapas style dishes available whereas the upper levels are more formal and aimed at lunch/dinner. The curries are dry but that is typical from authentic Indian food as opposed to the western style curry. The chicken karahi and delhi style lamb are popular dishes, mouthwatering and filling. Unlike many Indian restaurants, the traditional desserts are divine. The menu is not extensive, as they are concentrating efforts into a small number of supreme dishes.
