As one of THE hardest mountain bike trails on the front range, and being so close to the city, Apex is a local favorite. Try to go in the early morning when it's not too hot -- the heat (combined with mile-high-altitude) makes it even harder to keep momentum up the long, switchback incline. Apex's reward?
