• In its way, this is one of the hippest and most appealing dining and drinking spots in Gothenburg, thanks to a setting that was described to us by a local resident as "the kind of place that you can imagine yourself having sex in." The staff is charming and there is a sense of whimsical internationalism to the place. Most patrons range in age from 25 to 40. There are tables set outside during clement weather, zebra-skin upholsteries that Marlene Dietrich would've loved, great music, and an ambitious cuisine that's entirely composed of tapas that you'll share with the other members of your dining party. Management usually recommends that five or six of them will create an adequate meal for a party of two. There's a provocative drink menu; the bartender might not even describe the ingredients of, say, the Sunset Boulevard or the Bondi Beach Block at all, but instead, he'll describe the feeling (red and raucous? pink and dizzy?) that drinking one or two of them will induce. Some clients, in the wee early hours of a Sunday morning, can remember dancing on the bar here. Luckily, at least according to what we were told, no one has ever actually fallen off. Tasty tapas and their succulent ingredients change with the season, but might include salmon pastrami with cream sauce; deep-fried prawn cakes with chili dip; spicy chorizo rolls stuffed with lemon-flavored cream sauce; and skewered lamb with wasabi and dill-flavored bouillon. Come here for a drink before or after a meal in another restaurant, or come here for a full-fledged dining experience. We classify it among our three or four favorite spots in Gothenburg.
