Description:
Narrow white pillars hold up palm-fronded roofs in this self-contained, large resort that is easily the most luxurious lodging on the lake. Nicely tiled floors lead to orange, Caribbean-style villas. There is a gorgeous pool and spectacular lakeside restaurant and bar. Though this place is known to book big, package-tour-oriented groups, it is quite a classy act and there is lots of space to escape to, including forest trails and a spa. The complex sits snugly by the lakeside and some of the villas require a stiff climb upward. It is also open to day visitors.
