Reasonably priced portions and an authentic feel make this one of our favorite bars in Granada.

  • Description:

    • Near Puerta Real in the center of Granada, this is arguably Granada's most famous tasca dive. Antique and looking it, it's an old-fashioned masonry-sided hole in the wall -- and very cramped. For decor, it relies on antique barrels of wine and sherry. It's known for its vino costa, a smooth little wine that seems to go well with almost any of the delicious array of tapas served here. A specialty is thin-sliced Serrano ham, and heaping platters of steamed mussels flavored with fresh herbs and white wine. You might also try the goat cheese with fresh anchovies. Portions range from 6€ to 18€ ($9.60-$29). Feature image: tedesco57/Flickr
