  • Personally we prefer the charming little boutique hotels. For some visitors though, especially those on business in Granada, or those who seek first-class comfort, the Carmen is one of the best accessorized and comfortable hotels in town. It's under constant renovations to keep it up-to-date. This is not some impersonal modern horror but a well-run, tasteful, and government-rated four-star establishment whose owners have done much to imbue the place with some grace and Andalusian style. The bedrooms, from midsize to spacious, are attractively furnished and contain first-class bathrooms. The hotel is now beginning its 4th decade and enjoys the most repeat visitors of any establishment in Granada, so it must be doing something right. Usually only doubles open onto terraces; here six singles have this luxury.
