Description:
In the center of the city, a 3-minute walk from the cathedral in a renovated 19th-century mansion called a casa granadina, this hotel had a role in a dark moment of Granada's history. Here, the right-wing forces of GeneralĂsimo Franco abducted one of the nation's greatest writers and Granada's favorite son, the poet/playwright Federico GarcĂa Lorca. He was taken 3km (2 miles) away and executed. The family-operated hotel now exudes grace, charm, and tranquillity, and the service is helpful. All the small rooms have undergone extensive renovation, although many of the original furnishings remain.
