Self-Guided Tour of the Kolb Studio - Grand Canyon National Park

  • Description:

    • Built in the early days of the 20th century, this structure is perched on the very brink of the chasm. Ellsworth and Emery Kolb, early photographers and filmmakers in the area, utilized this building as living space and business facilities until Emery's death in 1976. Displaying some of the Kolb's photographs and other memorabilia, the structure is protected by the Park and open to the public. Traveling exhibits vary by month but many times feature local artists. Donations are always welcomed, but admission is free.
