Description:
- On the North Kaibab Trail, 16.6 miles from the Bright Angel trailhead, this campground is the last South Rim encampment before you start the ascent to the North Rim. It is open year-round, but the ranger station is closed from November-April. Fourteen campsites are available, but no water or toilet facilities are provided. A backcountry permit is required, which may be purchased at the Backcountry Information Center.
