Grand Canyon Airlines - Grand Discovery Air Tour

Grand Canyon Airlines - Grand Discovery Air Tour - Grand Canyon National Park

  • Description:

    • Taking off frequently from the Grand Canyon National Park Airport located at the Grand Canyon's South Rim, this tour heads for the eastern part of the Canyon. This 40 minute airplane tour takes you into deepest part of the Canyon, crossing Zuni Point, heading through the Zuni Corridor, where you'll see the Desert View Watchtower, the Painted Desert, and the Navajo Indian Reservation, just to the east along the Colorado River. The aircraft then turns, crossing Temple Butte, and heads for the North Rim to show off areas of the Kaibab Plateau and Kaibab National Forest. You can clearly see Imperial Point, the highest point in the Canyon as the tour flies directly west towards the Dragon Corridor, the widest and most open part of the Canyon. You then return back to the airport.
