A list of commercial river running companies is listed on the National Park Service website. Groups should try to reserve six months in advance to ensure availability.

  • Description:

    • One of the most exciting things to do at Grand Canyon National Park is to take a river rafting trip down the mighty Colorado River. Glide past the sculpted inner walls of the canyon, camp out under the stars, and explore little-seen corners of the canyon floor. Commercial river running trips range from one-day excursions to 21-day  adventures with a professional river guide. Professional river running companies offer adventurous whitewater rafting expeditions to relaxed smooth water journeys down quieter stretches of the river. For experienced river runners, noncommercial river trips typically launch from Diamond Creek and require permits that should be requested one year in advance.
