Description:
Although it was built in 1574, this hotel looks much newer because of frequent renovations. It lies within a 10-minute walk east of the city center, near the opera house. The interior is filled with baronial accessories, including suits of armor, hanging tapestries in the beamed dining room, and a scattering of antiques. Rooms are comfortable and traditionally furnished with double-glazed windows, plush carpeting, antiques, good beds, and small bathrooms. A garden in back provides a midsummer escape.
