- Located in the Basilica of Zapopan part of the time, this ten inch icon is the Patroness of the State of Jalisco. She is in residence at the Basilica of Zapopan from October 12 to June 12. The rest of the year she moves from church to church in Guadalajara. Before returning to the Basilica, she spends about two weeks at the Guadalajara Cathedral. On October 12, the Romeria, a huge procession, returns the Virgin to Zapopan. She can be visited Monday through Friday (only) from 7 am to 9 pm.
