Museo Presley Norton

Description:

  • This is my second-favorite museum in Guayaquil (not far behind the MAAC). Like at the MAAC, all the exhibits here have explanations both in English and Spanish. Formerly called the Museo Archeologico del Banco del PacĂfico, and now sporting new digs, this museum houses a small but excellent collection of archeological relics. The most interesting artifacts come from the Chorrera Period (1000-300 B.C.). Keep an eye out for the double-chambered whistling bottle and the descriptive figurines from this period. Give yourself about 45 minutes to an hour here.
