If you like seafood, Halifax is certainly a great place to get it. Seafood in Halifax is fresh, and offered nearly everywhere. Whether its fish in chips, fresh lobster, seafood chowder or sushi you’re craving, there are many options in Halifax to choose from.
Spring Garden Road - and other nearby streets - is a good area to find a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, and pubs that range in price and type of cuisine offered. If you’re there during warmer months, be sure to get some French fries from chip wagons that are parked on Spring Garden Road starting in the spring. If you’re on a budget, try Split Crow, The Coastal Café, Your Father’s Mustache, or Bash Toulany’s Fine Foods. The Thirsty Duck is a fun, lively pub that is reasonably priced and has live music on the weekends. Also on Spring Garden Road, Il Mercato is one of the best restaurants in Halifax and offers wonderful Italian food.
There are also good dining options in Halifax’s waterfront area. Here you can find good seafood, as well as cuisine from all over the world, including the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
