- Located on the former site of the Victoria School of Art & Design that was founded by Anna Leonowens (governess to the children of the king of Siam in the 1860s and inspiration for the musical The King and I), the Little Fish Restaurant & Oyster Bar serves all kinds of local seafood specialties. Come in to sample local lobster, mussels, salmon, cod, calamari and scallops. For oyster fans, check out their Oyster Bar Happy Hour daily from 4p-6p. Meetings and large groups can also be accommodated in their rooms that allow gatherings of 10-500. This place is owned by another favorite Halifax eatery: The Five Fishermen.
