- Apollo is where the Cinemax millionaire Flebbe began his unstoppable career in 1972. It was in this typical old district film theater, he tore the tickets to earn money during his university years. But soon he had the decisive word in setting up the program and he showed mostly sophisticated films. When he broadened his activities to the Hochhaus, the Raschplatzkinos, finally to other cities and in Hanover to the CinemaxX, the Apollo became a cheaper second-screenings cinema. So here you can see what you missed in the bigger theaters. The lack of comfort is compensated by the nostalgic atmosphere. Usually there are three shows a day, plus children's programs at the weekend.
