Ballhof - Hanover

  • Description:

    • Situated in a very beautiful part of the old town, this enchanting building, complete with wooden beams, looks like something out of a fairy story. The Ballhof was built in the middle of the 17th Century by Duke Georg Wilhelm and was originally intended as a badminton court. At the time, badminton was considered a very fashionable sport and the Ballhof was Hanover's first court. Later on, the building was used to stage operas and theatrical performances. Today it serves as a playhouse for the theater. Please refer to the website for schedules and timings of upcoming shows.
