- The private home of the famous court architect Georg Ludwig Friedrich Laves was built by himself 1822-1824. Many buildings based on his plans, such as the Opera, the Wangenheim Palais, Waterloo Column and the Leine Castle characterise Hanover's townscape. A commemoration place in honor of this brilliant architect can be seen inside.
