Getting There
Four to five RENFE (tel. 90-224-02-02; www.renfe.es) trains run daily from Logroño (trip time: 45 min.). There are also two to three connections per day from Zaragoza (trip time: 3-3 1/2 hr.).
Six to seven buses per day run to Haro from Logroño (trip time: 45 min.-1 hr.). For information, call tel. 94-123-59-83.
By car, follow the A-68 expressway (south of Logroño) northwest to the turnoff for Haro.

The tourist office at Plaza Monseñor Florentino Rodríguez s/n (tel. 94-130-33-66) is open October to June Tuesday to Sunday 10am to 2pm, and Saturday 4 to 7pm; and July to September Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 2pm and 4:30 to 7:30pm, and Sunday 10am to 2pm.
Special Events
Every June 29, the Battle of Wine erupts. It's an amusing, mock-medieval brawl in which opposing teams splatter each other with wineskins filled with the output from local vineyards.
