    Architecture fiends are at no shortage for activities. Havana offers some of the best colonial gems in the Caribbean. Some buildings have been exquisitely restored, such as those along Calle Mercaderes, while many in the city remain in crumbling disrepair, exuding their own kind of beauty. Capitol Nacional is another monument to the island's sugar wealth of yore. Wandering the streets of Habana Vieja (Old Town) should be enough to satisfy anyone's love for old-world atmosphere.

    Havana is Cuba's cultural center, and that means there's plenty of excellent museums and cultural events to take part in. Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes serves as the epicenter of arts and culture. Cuba's best museums are also located in Havana. No one should miss Museo de la Revolucion, housed in the unrivaled opulence of the former Presidential Palace. Other important educational museums include Museo de Simon Bolivar, Museo-Casa Natal de Jose Marti.

    Cubans are infamous for their zest for life and love of partying. Many great clubs and bars abound in Habana Centro, with swankier ones located in Vedado. But with the legendary friendliness of Cubans, you just may stumbled upon an impromptu party---and be invited to join the fun.
