- Tara Firma Inn – Volcano is enveloped in the Hawaiian rain forest. Come relax and enjoy. The smell of cedar meets at the door and welcomes you in. Giant ferns surround the house and it feels very pre-historic. Dinosaurs could have lived in a place like this. We are located three miles from the entrance to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and the continuous lava flow (since 1983) from Kilauea Volcano.

Hard to shower with no water

Nice web site, the reality is a little different. Good proximity to park but a little tricky to find. Get there before dark. Many many stairs to access house and Orchid Suite. Hospitality...
