Keauhou Bay Beach Park - Big Island (Hawaii)
  • Type: Beaches
  • NileGuide Expert tip:

Bring sunblock because the Kona sun is intense!

  • Description:

    • Located adjacent to the Keauhou State Boating Facility, this park offers a enjoyable spot to picnic, kayak and play volleyball. Although the water is clear and warm, this park is not recommended for swimming or snorkeling. Due to fishing and tour boat traffic the pier area is off-limits to diving and swimming, but fishing is allowed. The shoreline is pebbly and rocky in places, and strong currents and waves are almost always present. Surfing and sunbathing are better done at Kahuluu beach down the road. Open from dawn to dusk daily. Restrooms, parking and picnic tables are available.
