Plantation Museum - Big Island (Hawaii)

  • Description:

    • Go back in time as you step into the Plantation Museum in Hilo. You can look at the pictures of the intermingled lives of the various communities of plantation workers like the Hawaiians, Filipinos, Portuguese and Puerto Ricans. This has made Hawaii a big melting pot of cultures that it is today. Find photos from the 1900s and other such memorabilia from this eccentric collection. Go see the newly opened Hawaiian Wildlife exhibit. Don't forget to pop into the gift shop and pick up a souvenir made from the special Koa wood. Admission required.
