Description:

  • A secret black sand beach nestled in a tropical forest setting along the gorgeous Puna coast awaits those who enjoy solitude and son. The beach is rather small, but offers sand and an expansive view down the coast.

There are two ways to get here. For those that come down Highway 130 and turn town Highway 137, the road side parking area is about 20 minutes down the road. If you pass the bottom of Kamaili Road you've gone too far. As a small hill curves to the right the parking area is visible and fits around four to five cars total. Coming down Kamaili Road turn right and the beach is about five minutes down the road and in this direction the hill curves up and to the left.
