- Apples are not on the menu of this take-out establishment, located on the Hauptstraße directly across the historical Providenzkirche of Heidelberg. The name derives, instead, from the enormous portions of French fries (Germans use the French name: pommes frites) available. Choose your size, choose your topping (mayonnaise, ketchup, onion), and then choose a non-alcoholic drink to wash it all down. There are country-style potatoes available as well, and a selection of sausages-on-a-bun. The highlight, however, are the chicken wings, advertised as the original Canadian.
