If it's chilly or snowing when you visit Café Rossi, have no fear. Unlike many cafes and restaurants that lose their energy and appeal during the winter months, Café Rossi is one place where you can enjoy your cappuccino and the atmosphere no matter the time of year. Be sure to sit amongst the many tables in the shady garden during the summer months; just know that there is no hurry when it comes to taking your order, serving you, or collecting your money. Like most cafes in Heidelberg, there is no need to feel rushed. You are welcome to stay as long as you like as long as your coffee cup stays fairly full and your check will only come if you ask for it. Just know that paying is the signal for leaving. Inside you will find a bistro, where you can drink your espresso Italian-style standing up and for only 85 cents or a latte macchiato for 95 cents. If you want to sit down and stay awhile, however, be sure to head upstairs and sit amongst college students, business people and locals enjoying an afternoon of Kafee, Kuchen and Quatschen in the low-to-the-ground booths snuggly sitting under the slanted, art-deco rooftop.
