Café Ateneum

• In close proximity to the Railway Station you will find the Museum of Finnish Art, Ateneum. In its café you can enjoy an extraordinarily quiet and refreshing atmosphere in the busiest part of the city. Even if you don't go into the museum to admire the works of art you can browse through art books and look at the posters, as there is a museum shop inside the café. Alongside coffee, tea, pastries and sandwiches they serve inexpensive vegetarian lunches, and from Tuesday to Friday you can have a light but filling meal by helping yourself from the salad buffet. There are also tasty soups. This is a smoke—free zone, but it is fully licensed. You can also try out the sweet layer cakes made by the café's own bakery, and if you place your order in advance you can get cakes to go.
