This Cultural and Architectural tour takes you to the Lake Tuusula area where a large number of Finnish artists settled at the turn of the 19th and 20th Century.
The first visit is to Ainola, the home of the Finnish composer Jean Sibelius which has now been converted to a museum. Ainola is preserved as it was during Sibelius' time.
After visiting Ainola, your tour continues to Villa Kokkonen, the home of the Composer Joonas Kokkonen. Villa Kokkonen is one of the few private homes designed by the Architect Alvar Aalto and it has been called a preliminary sketch of the Finlandia Hall in Helsinki.
