Description:
There's a well-established nightlife quandary in Saigon. That is, where the heck do you go when everywhere else has shut up shop for the night? The answer to this poser is generally pretty simple given the lack of options. On one side of De Tham is the garishly signposted Crazy Buffalo bar; on the other is the (less) garishly signposted Go 2. In reality there is little to choose between the two places. Both offer late drinks at slightly inflated prices, both have a downstairs bar for hanging out and people-watching in and both pull in a similar mix of backpackers, teachers, prostitutes and general reprobates. If we had to choose one, however, we'd opt for Go2, if only because the sheer weirdness of the Crazy Buffalo sign is best appreciated from the opposite side of the street. The downstairs bar is the most enjoyable place to hang out but if you are in the mood for dancing, the upstairs area is the place to drunkenly sway to generic commercial floorfillers.
