Description:

Never underestimate the power of an endorsement from a celebrity chef. Anthony Bourdain visited this venue for his show 'A Cook's Tour' and named it as one of his favorites in the world. Since then, steady streams of intrigued foreign foodies have beaten a track here to see whether the truth lives up to the hype. Of course it does. The Vietnamese are extremely discerning eaters and they were coming here long before Bourdain witnessed his first rice pot being cracked (the restaurant's trademark).  With a local audience to keep happy and new foreign fans to impress standards remain high and the restaurant still comes up trumps when it comes to authentic traditional Vietnamese cuisine.  The most famous dish here is the rice, which is cooked in a claypot then hurled across the room by the waiters, but the real stars of the show are the mains which are generally exemplary, if a little expensive by Saigon standards.
