Le Van Duyet Tomb

Description:

  • Le Van Duyet was a high military dignitary and very devout to the country. He hailed from the Nguyen Dynasty and the last governor during the reign of Gia Dinh. Having been a loyal to the crown then, his tomb was banned from worship during the reign of Emperor Minh Mang. Later on, the tomb underwent a repair, and the ancient titles given to him were restored. From then on, this place has been frequented and is a popular destination since then. The Van Duyet Temple Festival is also held here during which the locals pay their respects to this patriot and pray for their well being and security.
