Everglades National Park - Homestead

  • Description:

    • As long as you don't forget mosquito repellent and sunscreen, the Everglades can be a very enjoyable site. Most Miami natives visited the park on school field trips, but it's definitely worth a visit as a tourist for a couple reasons: First, as Miami and its population grows and develops westward, the Everglades is shrinking, which has been cause for debate in the past decades. Also, at almost 2,500 square miles the Everglades has a massive resource to offer to nature-lovers with thousands of land and water species including most visitors' favorite: alligators!
