Law Uk Folk Museum is at Chai Wan and is the sole remaining architectural example of its kind in Chai Wan. It a five minute walk from the Chai Wan MTR station and there are pretty much only three restaurants that are near the Law Uk Folk Museum that are worth the time and effort to eat.
The Soy Milk Coffee Shop is the one of a kind soy based coffee shop in Hong Kong and they sell excellent sandwiches that you could munch on your way to the Law Uk Folk Museum. You'll be sure that this restaurant will be on the way as you exit the subway station.
Wai Lee Wah Restaurant is perfect for a quick meal and even better for afternoon tea sets. This cha chaan teng is no frills, cheap and tasty so you can't miss this restaurant near the Law Uk Folk Museum.
Palco Ristorante may seem a little off the beaten path but the owner and the head chef has had many years of experience working at the Michelin starred Gaddi's at the Peninsula so you can be sure of getting 5 star Michellin Italian fare at 1 star prices in Chai Wan.
If these restaurants near the Law Uk Folk Museum don't sound like your cuppa then it might be an option to leave Chai Wan and eat at Quarry bay and the Eastern District instead because the street where East End Brewery is on is cluttered with good restaurants so even if you decide to change your mind and dine at Le Pousse-Cafe or Grappa's Millenio you won't have to worry about lack of choice.
Definitely worth a try is East End Brewery for this dimly lit corner bar in Quarry Bay stocks some of the world's best micro brews and ales. If you are looking for a place in Tai Koo Place, then the Grappa's Millenio is spacious and tastefully decorated with light hues and tones.
Pre-party pangs? Post Party hangover? Mr. Taco Truck and NYPD Pizza on Finnie Street is just outside the Quarry Bay Station exit B. Mr. Taco Truck is probably one of the most authentic Mexican taqueria in Hong Kong and whilst Finnie Street with its automotive repair joints and and old used tires depots doesn't make for the best location for alfresco dining, NYPD Pizza has been generating lots of buzz for selling authentic NYC style pizza.
The Ruby Tuesday restaurant at Telford Plaza is one of the best family friendly and kid friendly dining concepts in the entire Eastern district. The American casual dining serves up the best greasy potato skins, ribs and remember to ask for a balloon for the kids if you are visiting with your children.
