  • Both The Greenery and Sabatini at the Royal Garden hotel are the nearest restaurants to the History Museum. Why not stop by for all-day, casual dining in a garden-like setting at the Greenery for some of their signature Hainanese Chicken Rice, Seafood Platter, Sashimi and Sushi, Grilled USA 1855 Prime beef.

Otherwise Sabatini is probably one of the most romantic restaurants near the museum of history. Its all about old school Italian charm.

Spring Deer Restaurant, once you walk through its narrow doors you'll find hear that its noisy and so its one of the best restaurants to go for cheap and tasty food and this restaurant sells 90 Peking roast ducks a day and the chef carves the juicy duck meat along the skin for your companions to enjoy.

If you are looking for a buffet near the history museum then Yamm at the Mira is and their signature buffets are amazingly great value for money.

The Stag's Head at Hart Avenue is totally easygoing, airy space draws a varied crowd all happily drinking one of their many lagers, stouts or bitter. The Stag's Head is mostly about sport: large screen play any major game until late. You could book early if you want a table after visiting the museum.

Both the Swiss Chalet and Tequila Jack's are in close proximity to the Museum of History. If you want a very traditional feel like you are in a village on route to the Alps then the Swiss Chalet is for you. Serving Swiss drinks and the cheese fondue is a great ski holiday feel.

Tequila Jack's is one of the few bars in Hong Kong that will serve you a Mexican beer. The crowd is mainly expat and touristy because there are lots of hotels around.

If Tex-Mex is not your thing then the King Ludwig's Beer Hall near the Museum of History does fantastic Bavarian imports and beers.

Restaurants near the History Musuem in Tsim Sha Tsui might be synonymous with noisy tourists and big brand shopping, but you'll also find some of the hippest, hottest restaurants in this part of town. A chameleon, SPOON by Alain Ducasse is a subtle French restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui where the presence of France gives the restaurant a casual-chic atmosphere. The usual sobriety and formal aspects of fine dining are eliminated, yet the refinement of the cuisine is ever present.

Spring Moon at the Peninsula is a 1920's Shanghainese mansion that serves the best Cantonese and Shanghai classics with great tea.
