Whilst walking through street markets such as Fa Yuen Street in Hong Kong might be a bit of a culture shock because of the tastes and choice of things sold is quite different to farmers markets, there is always Stanley Market to go for more standardised outlet shopping and relaxing alfresco dining on the South Coast.

    Speaking of shopping, Nathan Road cannot be missed as one of the top things to do for some locals in Hong Kong is to take a walk through it at night. It starts in Tsim Sha Tsui and ends in Prince Edward but this is the road of Hong Kong with the neon lights and busy pedestrian traffic as well as generally excellent tourist shops.

    Cheung Chau is an island for holiday makers in Hong Kong to go during weekends to get their dose of hikes, beaches, fresh seafood and sweet desserts. Perhaps you are looking for the outdoor things to do in Hong Kong then Cheung Chau should be the first pick.
