New Territories
The New Territories are quickly developing in high rise residential areas from what use to be once a sparsely populated area of hamlets and small villages like the ones seen along the Lung Yuek Tau Heritage Trail in Fan Ling and Ping Shan Heritage Trail. Yet the Hong Kong Wetland Park and Mai Po Wetlands are the hidden star attractions of Hong Kong that offer a serene tranquil environment not just for bird lovers but also for those who love seeing the diverse fauna of Hong Kong because because indeed the New Territories has more to offer than just markets and high rise concrete buildings. On the other side, the abundant choice of seafood in Sai Kung is complemented by wonderful views over the bay to offshore islands.
