Mori sushi - Hong Kong
  • Cuisines: Asian, Japanese
  • NileGuide Expert Says:

Sea Urchin is a must try and so is the sashimi rice.

  • NileGuide Expert tip:

Its on the corner of Hollywood Road and Graham Street Wet Market.

    Description:

    • Good-quality, bargain sushi is hard to come by in Central.  Mori Sushi, a matchbox-sized Japanese restaurant just above Graham Street Market. No exaggeration - Mori has its sushi bar on one side of the small space with half a dozen stools, and a small arrangement of tables on the other side, seating a maximum of 14. Everyone calls ahead to book a table. And for office lunches, Mori is an excellent choice

There is an a la carte menu at night but set menus during lunch are the best value for money. Mori Sushi sashimi set is only $168 but it has seven types of sashimi (two pieces each), with a bit of rice underneath, a miso soup and a mochi ice cream dessert. The sashimi is jet-fresh quality and a good cut.

Nothing is too fancy about it, it's just top-notch no-frills Japanese fare that will make everyone happy. If only people could regularly get a table at this busy restaurant.
