Mr Taco Truck

Mr Taco Truck - Hong Kong
  • Cuisines: Mexican
  • NileGuide Expert Says:

Mr. Taco Truck has been nominated by OpenRice.com for the Annual Award 2011 "Best Snacks Shop".

  • NileGuide Expert tip:

It's right outside of the Quarry Bay MTR station, Exit B

    Description:

    • Homemade corn tortillas, Horchata, chips, beans and salsa were all pretty good. A great fix for when you want some good tasting Mexican. They tasted like street tacos you get in California. It's safe to say no one is doing a proper fish taco in this town – and certainly not for $16 – but this taco shack, converted to look like a truck, does a damn good job. Filled with grilled onions, cilantro and salsa, the fish tacos are a not-to-be-missed highlight here. With meat tacos coming in at $13, it's hard to spend more than $40 on any visit. The chef is Mexican and the whole atmosphere of a taco truck in Quarry Bay is a novel concept in Hong Kong but its people have been saying great things about it and it sure cures the craving for solid authentic Tex- Mex food in Hong Kong.

Hong Kongers can finally get their fix of authentic Mexican street side tacos. in order to recreate the authentic Hong Kong Mexican restaurant, Mr. Taco Truck imports their spices and chilies straight from the US and the owner insists on making all the corn tortillas themselves. This is the real spot for the real Mexican deal.
