Description:

  • The inhabitants of Hong Kong have a time honored tradition of Yum Cha (drinking tea and consuming Dim Sum), and accordingly the city abounds with numerous great dim sum joints. Tim Ho Wan, which can be best described as a tiny hole in the wall with no ambiance to speak of, is perhaps one of the best places to partake in these delicious Chinese small eats. Tim Ho Wan offers communal dining and doesn't accept reservations, so there are often ridiculous wait times as hordes clamor for their mouthwatering preparations, which include scrumptious Baked Char Siu (BBQ Pork) Buns, Fun-gwo (Chiu Chow dumplings),  Pan Fried Turnip Cake and Har Gau (shrimp dumplings). -Anjeeta Nayar
