• Hong Kong's world-class airport, designed by Sir Norman Foster, has been hailed as one of the top ten construction achievements of the 20th century, and rightly so. Building it involved flattening a once hilly island and virtually doubling its area in the world's biggest dredging and reclamation project to date. The result is the world's largest covered building with an eventual design capacity of 90 million passengers a year.
