Plover Cove Reservoir

Plover Cove Reservoir - Hong Kong

  • Description:

    • This reservoir was completed in 1968 using an unusual technique: a dam was built across the mouth of the bay, then sea water was pumped out to the sea and fresh water was pumped in. Plover Cove is a popular destination for cycling and hiking. Bikes are on hire from bicycle rental places near the Tai Mei Tuk bus terminus on the edge of the reservoir. Also for hire are sampans, that can ferry people over to scenic spots ideal for a picnic. Anyone with energy to spare can go for a hike along the neighbouring Pat Sin Leng trial.
